Description
A wooden frog board with two hands whose fingers flip up and down. The child folds the fingers to count out an addition or subtraction problem, which matches how young children naturally count on their own hands. Answers are then built using wooden number tiles that slot into the boxes below.
Comes with question cards and loose number blocks. Made of wood, no electronics, and suitable from about 3 years old.

It's called Mr. Green now and it sits on his study table.
The number blocks slot in cleanly, no forcing or wobbling. Small thing but it matters when a kid is doing it alone.
My son already counted on his fingers so this made instant sense to him. He flips the frog's fingers down, counts what's left, done. No teaching required from me at all.
Looks like a toy, works like a teaching aid.

I use this in my class for the 4-year-olds. The finger method is exactly how we teach counting anyway, so it fits right in with the lesson.
We tried a math app first and he lost interest in three days. This one he's still using after two months, and he actually touches the pieces instead of tapping glass.
